GHOP Community Development represents a bold vision for community transformation in Mount Carmel, Pennsylvania. We've taken the historic former BB&T Bank building at 109 N Oak Street and transformed it into a vibrant hub of commerce, community, and hope.
What makes GHOP unique is our self-sustaining business model. Unlike traditional nonprofits, we operate boutique shops and Big Mama's Café on the lower level - businesses that we own and manage ourselves. Every dollar of profit from these ventures directly funds our community programs on the upper level.
This innovative approach ensures that GHOP is not just a charity receiving donations, but a thriving economic engine that empowers our community while remaining financially sustainable for generations to come.
